Information collected automatically

When you browse our website we, and the services we use, may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. Some of this is collected through cookies (see section 8).

3. How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiries and arrange campus visits.
  • To process admissions applications and make decisions about places.
  • To provide education, pastoral care and a safe learning environment.
  • To communicate with parents and guardians about learners, events, term dates and fees.

4. Our lawful basis

We process personal information because it is necessary to provide education under our agreement with parents, to comply with legal obligations, to protect the vital interests of learners, for our legitimate interests in running the School, or because you have given your consent (for example, for newsletters or publishing photographs). Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time.

5. Photographs and school life

We like to celebrate school life on our website, in our news and community pages and on social media. We only publish photographs or videos in which learners can be identified with the consent of a parent or guardian, which is requested at enrolment and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting the School office. We do not publish learners’ full names alongside their photographs without permission.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where necessary, with:

  • education authorities and national examination bodies, as required by law;
  • medical professionals in an emergency;
  • trusted service providers who help us run the School and this website (for example hosting, email and payment providers), who may only use the data on our instructions;
  • other schools, when a learner transfers and with the family’s knowledge;
  • law enforcement or regulators, where the law requires it.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it. Enquiries that do not lead to an application are deleted within 12 months. Learner records are kept for the duration of their time at High View and for a period afterwards as required by law and for alumni and reference purposes. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Cookies and third-party services
